Field work begins when the snow flies, up to 5 hours preseason virtual training. Up to 16 hrs/day when winter weather creates the need (weather dependent, OT as needed).
Are you looking for a seasonal role where you can stay active, work outdoors, travel, and be part of a team that makes a real difference when winter weather hits? At JMC Enterprises, we remove dangerous snow and ice buildup from the tops of tractor-trailers before those trailers return to the road, helping protect drivers and everyone sharing the road.
As a Supporting Technician, you'll be part of a mobile team that travels throughout our service area based on where winter weather creates the need. This is a hands-on role, and everyone on the team takes an active part in the work. Team members work together and rotate responsibilities throughout each service, helping safely and efficiently remove accumulated snow and ice from tractor-trailers.
You'll travel as a passenger in a company service vehicle with a Lead Technician who handles the driving. In most cases, your Lead Technician will pick you up directly from your home. Occasionally, operational needs may require you to meet your team at a designated location instead. During larger snow events, travel may extend throughout JMC's service area across 14 Northeastern states.
This is a weather-dependent, physically demanding position where teamwork, dependability, flexibility, communication, and attention to safety are essential. If you're dependable, comfortable working outdoors, flexible when winter weather hits, and ready to go where the snow takes you, join JMC's winter team and be part of a team that helps make the roads safer.
Please note:
All traveling positions show the location as Syracuse, NY as a default. We are open to accepting applications from anyone residing in New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio at this time.
