Civil Technician III

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing general construction activities on wireless cell tower sites, including site layout, foundation, grounding, laying conduit and fiber, and general landscaping.

• Perform the layout of cell tower sites, including electrical and telecommunications infrastructure.
• Use hand and power tools for landscaping tasks such as concrete work, rebar, trenching, and grubbing.
• Assist with setting shelters, building culverts, roadways, and soil reclamation and correction.
• Connect jumpers and run cables to ground units.
• Build and tie together cages of rebar.
• Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment safely.
• Prepare and clean work sites.
• Maintain tool inventory and upkeep on the job site.
• Complete all required company documentation.
• Assist foreman with site photography.
• Other duties as assigned.

High school diploma, G.E.D., or related trade school education.

• Five years of wireless telecommunications industry experience.
• General construction site and minor electrical experience.
• Ability to operate equipment such as excavators and skid steers.
• OSHA Construction 10‑hour Safety Training Card.
• First Aid, CPR, and RF Radiation Safety & Awareness certifications.

• Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency.

• Basic mathematical and calculation skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to motivate, lead, teach, and train on proper work and safety procedures.

• Pass pre‑employment screening that includes background and drug testing.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
• Good physical condition capable of stooping, crawling, bending at knees and waist, squatting, and lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to work in moderate to loud noise environments.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work long and unpredictable hours.
• Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including short‑notice travel.

$18 - $30 an hour.
