Client Care Specialist (2nd Shift) – Part Time

The Rescue Mission is seeking a Part‑time Client Care Specialist for its Syracuse Emergency Shelter. The role supports a safe, supportive environment for clients and assists with daily care and facility monitoring during the 3:30 pm–10:00 pm 2nd Shift.

• Develop rapport with clients and provide support, encouragement, and motivation toward building independence while maintaining professional boundaries.

• Participate as a team player to complete rounds, monitor facilities, facilitate drug and breather tests, distribute personal care items and bedding, enforce guidelines, and refer clients to appropriate internal services.

• Document client information accurately, attend meetings, and maintain confidentiality.

• Complete required trainings within 30 days of assignment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in human services or related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience working with homeless, addicted, or mentally ill clients desired.
• Must follow CDC guidance including wearing a mask when working.
• Full vaccination and boosted (when eligible) against Covid‑19 is strongly encouraged.

Starting Pay rate – $18.50 per hour.
2nd Shift Differential (1:00 pm – 11:30 pm) – Additional $1.00 per hour.

Sundays through Tuesdays or Thursdays through Saturdays: 3:30 pm–10:00 pm.
