Schedule
:
Sundays through Tuesdays or Thursdays through Saturdays: 3:30 pm – 10:00 pm.
Rate of pay
: $18.50 per hour (additional $1.00 per hour for 2nd Shift Differential).

The Rescue Mission is seeking a 2nd Shift Part Time Client Care Specialist to work the 3:30 pm – 10:00 pm shift in our Syracuse Emergency Shelter. The Client Care Specialist maintains a safe and supportive environment for clients, utilizing the resources to ensure a healthy, pleasant stay and an environment of positive change.

Additional Duties
:
Develop rapport with clients, provide support, encouragement, and motivation toward building and/or maintaining independence while maintaining professional boundaries. Participate as a team player to provide the best possible care: complete rounds, monitor facilities, facilitate drug and breathalyzer tests, distribute personal care items and bedding, enforce guidelines, refer clients to internal services. Share pertinent client information via documentation, meetings, and as needed, maintaining confidentiality.

Complete required trainings within 30 days of assignment.

Requirements & Education
:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree in human services or related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Experience working with homeless, addicted and/or mentally ill clients desired.
• Must follow CDC guidance, including wearing a mask when working.
• Full vaccination and boosted (when eligible) against Covid‑19 is strongly encouraged.

Starting Pay rate: $18.50 per hour.
2nd Shift Differential (1:00 pm – 11:30 pm):
Additional $1.00 per hour.
