THE TEAMAs part of the Finance team, you will support the integrity and accuracy of the hotel's revenue reporting processes. Working closely with Finance leadership and operational departments across the hotel, you will help ensure financial controls are maintained and that revenue transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported. You will report to the Assistant Director of Finance and collaborate with key stakeholders across the business.
YOURROLE
As Income Auditor Supervisor, you will oversee the daily income audit function, ensuring revenue settlements, reconciliations, and financial reporting activities are completed accurately and on time. You will support the hotel's financial control environment by reviewing revenue transactions, identifying irregularities, maintaining accounting records, and helping ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Your work will contribute directly to the accuracy of financial reporting and overall business performance.
HOWYOU'LL MAKE THE PLACE
- Supervise daily income audit activities to ensure revenue settlements, cash, credit card, and accounts receivable transactions are accurately balanced and recorded.
- Review and verify daily revenue reporting, ensuring timely distribution to management and other required stakeholders.
- Monitor and reconcile income-related balance sheet accounts, including guest ledger, city ledger, advance deposits, deferred income, and other revenue accounts.
- Audit revenue coding and classifications to ensure compliance with company policies and the Uniform System of Accounts.
- Investigate rate discrepancies, revenue adjustments, rebates, paid-outs, and other anomalies, taking appropriate corrective action when required.
- Support month-end closing activities, accrual preparation, and reconciliation of fees, taxes, and related revenue obligations.
- You have a strong understanding of hotel revenue accounting, auditing practices, and financial controls.
- You are highly detail-oriented and able to identify variances, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
- You can prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- You are confident using accounting systems and financial reporting tools to analyze and reconcile data.
- You build positive working relationships across departments and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- You are fluent in English, with additional language skills considered an advantage.
