To develop and review in detail the engineering, including concepts, coordination, design & engineering documentation and contract administration on projects, while working as a part of the project team, to create value for Coastal Contracting Company projects and to set project schedule and guidelines, ensure that proper quality and standards are implemented to ensure on time delivery and high end deliverable.

• Assist the Contractor and Consultants to ensure that all work is carried out efficiently, in line with the strategic engineering plans, policies and procedures.
• Contribute to integrated engineering process by setting engineering values and objectives, managing Lead engineer or Contractor performance, and providing ongoing feedback to meet the functional challenges and goals.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager to plan, design, and manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, regulations, and safety standards.
• Work closely with the Engineering Manager to provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, monitoring progress, and addressing any issues or delays.
• Coordinate with other professionals from different divisions, such as construction, project management, procurement, cost and commercial, and quality, to develop detailed engineering designs, including drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications, using computer aided design (CAD) software and other relevant tools.
• Work in conjunction with the Engineering Manager and the Quality Division to conduct regular quality control checks and inspections, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements.
• Perform rigorous analysis and calculations to determine engineering integrity, load capacities, and material requirements for construction projects, in coordination with other divisions and under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with professionals from various divisions, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing work environment within the Engineering Division.
• Stay up to date with advancements in engineering practices, technologies, and industry trends, collaborating with professionals from different divisions and reporting to the Engineering Manager for project execution enhancements.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination with professionals from the construction, project management, procurement, cost and commercial, quality, and other relevant divisions, fostering strong working relationships and cross functional collaboration under the guidance of the Engineering Manager. Report on project status and engineering progress to executive director, particularly concerning monitoring of cost.
• Report progress and completion of the engineering aspects of projects through their development lifecycle to ensure integrity is maintained throughout the project.
• Ensure international standards and codes (i.e., buildings, health standards, safety, quality, etc.) are in place in all engineering aspects of the projects.
• Coordinate with the relevant functions to ensure the engineering aspect of all projects is planned and implemented as per environmental conservation and sustainability standards.
• Contribute to successful project completion and management by providing technical services in accordance with project time and quality.
• Liaise with local authorities.
• Participate in preparation of RFPs on the commercial and technical side.
• Participate in design review of the engineering services as well as other related utility systems as assigned.
• Participation in design and engineering review meetings and workshops.
• Preparation of meeting records, engineering review and design progress reports.
• Assist the engineering manager in controlling and monitoring the cost, the progress, and expenses of the project.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).
• 8-10 years of Experience, minimum 5 years relevant construction experience.
