Education:
Bachelor's degree or above in Occupational Health & Safety, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - 2.
Work Experience:
Minimum 2 years of HSE experience, preferably with experience in renewable energy, BESS, power plants, solar PV, or electrical projects. - 3. BESS
Experience:
Experience in BESS projects is preferred. Candidates should have a basic understanding of the safety risks associated with Battery Systems, PCS, MV Skids, EMS, and HV/MV systems.
- Previous HSE experience in Saudi Arabia or SEC projects.
- Previous BESS / Battery Energy Storage System experience.
- Familiarity with SEC HSE requirements and relevant Saudi standards.
- Experience in large-scale power, renewable energy, or power plant projects.
- NEBOSH IGC + IOSH/OSHA certifications are highly preferred.
- 1.Responsible for the installation, commissioning, repair, and maintenance of energy storage systems on site.
- 2.Address technical issues on-site in a timely manner to ensure reliable operation and minimize downtime. Collaborate closely with the technical support team and R&D department to feedback on-field issues and suggest improvements.
- 3.Provide technical support to customers, answer questions about the equipment, and deliver necessary training. Continuously follow up on customer after-sales service requirements to improve customer satisfaction.
- 4.Conduct site inspections to identify electrical, fire, chemical, and trip/slip/fall hazards; enforce PPE compliance with NFPA 70E/OSHA standards; maintain grounding systems; and ensure adherence to EH&S plans, ERP, and SOPs.
- 5.Conduct daily and monthly hazard recognition and hunts; document and recommend corrective actions to eliminate unsafe conditions; verify the operational status of fire detection, gas detection, and explosion-prevention systems.
- 6.Prepare and maintain daily safety inspection reports; draft and update safety procedures for operations, maintenance, and emergency response; document and file Safety Meeting Minutes (daily toolbox talks & monthly safety meetings); and maintain records of PPE distribution, inspections, and compliance checks.
- 7.Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis; prepare CAPA reports; conduct emergency drills for fire, chemical, and electrocution scenarios; support emergency shutdowns and coordinate with Grid Control Center; serve as liaison to emergency responders and regulators.
- 8.Deliver safety induction and refresher training; foster proactive safety awareness across departments.
- 9.Need to obey the work arrangement of the site leader. Willingness to travel frequently and adapt to flexible working hours.
