The Ground Care Facility Technician will ensure that the BDC's outdoor spaces-including gardens, landscaped areas, greenhouse zones, and general facility grounds-are maintained to support research operations and visitor engagement.

The primary project location is Al Badaa, Tabuk Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Academic:
Vocational training in landscaping, facility maintenance, or a related field.

Minimum Experience:

2-4 years of experience in landscaping, facility maintenance, or outdoor operations support.

• Maintain greenhouse, test plots, storage areas and landscaped outdoor spaces.
• Perform general cleaning tasks across the facility, including offices, common areas, storage rooms, and bathrooms.
• Maintain outdoor facility areas such as walkways, entrances, and visitor zones to ensure cleanliness and good presentation.
• Support basic manual work such as moving equipment, organizing storage areas, and assisting with general upkeep.
• Conduct routine checks on facility cleanliness, waste disposal needs, and minor maintenance tasks.
• Support routine planting, pruning, watering, and other horticultural tasks required to keep the landscape presentable.
• Ensure soil health, plant care, irrigation systems, pest control and general cleanliness across the facility.
• Keep all outdoor areas safe, clean, and prepared for operations and visitor access.
• Maintain and service equipment used for trials and facility maintenance (e.g., laboratory equipment, irrigation systems).
• Perform janitorial and custodial duties across all assigned buildings, including routine cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, offices, and common areas to maintain hygiene and presentation standards.
• Ensure proper waste collection, segregation, and disposal in all buildings and outdoor areas in compliance with facility and environmental guidelines.
• Provide regular cleaning, inspection, and basic upkeep of the Main Building, Laboratory Building, Greenhouse Building, Security Support Building, Guard House, and Chemical Storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in parking areas, including Staff Cars Parking and Buggy & Cars Parking zones.
• Conduct routine inspections of all assigned buildings to identify cleaning needs, maintenance issues, or safety hazards, and report or escalation as required.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and ensure proper storage and handling of janitorial equipment and materials.
• Maintain and service the following facilities:
  Basement Water Tank, Soakaway, Generator & Fuel Tank Plinth, Underground Wastewater Pump Station, and Lake & Lake Plantroom. Refer to table 1 for building name and number.
• Support minor maintenance and coordination for building-related upkeep to ensure all facilities remain operational, safe, and presentable for staff and visitors.
