JOB PURPOSE:

  • Welcome and greet guests to the Retail areas, ensuring the space is welcoming and well stocked with appropriate goods.
  • Provide administrative support to the Retail operations and ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Help sourcing new retail suppliers and items, relevant to the resort’s concepts of sustainability and Health and Wellness.
  • Provide an effective service to all guests, ensuring charges are accurate.
  • Handle stock take and inventory reporting.
  • Handles purchase wrapping and shipping.
  • Ensure a clean and organised work space.
  • Maintain hygiene and safety standards, refresh and sanitize the retail areas.
  • Ambassador of the company’s wellness and sustainability culture, promote its awareness amongst team members by leading by example and living and healthy and balanced lifestyle.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain effective communication with all departments of the resort to ensure a smooth and outstanding service for all guests.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients, corporate office.
  • Promote a friendly, dynamic and collaborative work environment that includes, open communication, team work, participation, trust, respect, professionalism and fun.
  • Have a complete understanding of own role, responsibilities and company expectations.
  • Adhere to the company’s policies and procedures, employee guidelines and service standards.
  • Educate resort employees on the products available at the retail shops.
  • Deliver and participate in meetings as required, facilitate seminars and training to internal and external guests.
  • Proactively participate in people relations and community relations activities and programs avaialable at the property.
  • Work towards exceeding company’s business targets.
  • Take a positive and resourceful approach to every project.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KEY OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure the Retail areas are always clean and neat, with the necessary products and samples, ready to welcome guests at any time.
  • Meet and greet guest coming in the Retail areas.
  • Help guests choose the best product for their needs.
  • Create a positive shopping experience.
  • Connect with guests and suppliers to develop professional relationships that foster trust, confidence, harmony and loyalty.
  • Show caring and professional assistance to guests and everyone visiting the retail areas.
  • Drive sales through effective use of the retail space.
  • Meet sales goals as per Team Leader’s guidelines.
  • Handle proper pricing and stock control of retail items.
  • Handle promotional materials and displays.
  • Learn and apply new procedures and services.
  • Monitor guest’s feedback, handle requests and complaints and take prompt actions.
  • Ensure billing procedures are followed and charges are accurate.
  • Remain impartial at all times and ensure the offerings and services fulfil and exceed the guests’ expectations.
  • Protect and promote the guest’s confidentiality, privacy and dignity.
  • Have a good working knowledge of all Wellness services and products provided at the resort, including promotional items, visiting consultants, facilities and its capabilities.
  • Be aware of current and future services offered by the resort and offer suggestions for improvement, expansion or creation of new services.
  • Apply sustainable options for gift wrapping and packaging.
  • Keep updated with local and international trends and provide timely recommendations to ensure the services are innovative and relevant while supporting Jayasom’s core values.
  • Continuously challenge the resort’s services, programs and activities and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
  • Support the operations and help other team members when needed.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor Degree or High School Degree
  • Fluent in English and Arabic is an Advantage
  • Additional language

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrated track record in sales and negotiation
