Aviation Security Operation Manager

Responsible for leading and overseeing all aviation security operations at the airport, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and international standards. The role drives a strong security and safety culture, ensuring operational readiness, continuous audit compliance, and effective coordination with key stakeholders.

• Develop and update comprehensive aviation security programs in compliance with international and local regulations, such as GACA and ICAO.
• Drive a safety culture and ensure airside operations are compliant and audit ready.
• Participate on the security committee and follow up the recommendations agreed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders (airlines, law enforcement agencies, government authorities, airport management) to maintain effective communication and coordination of security efforts.
• Supervise the operations of activating the Security Permits System.
• Conduct security audits and inspections to ensure adherence to established standards and procedures and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain a strong relationship with regulatory agencies, facilitate regular audits and inspections, and ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
• Conduct risk analysis to identify security level patterns or trends and provide recommendations to enhance security measures.
• Participate in meetings, working groups, and committees to represent the airport's security interests and contribute to the development of security standards and initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in aviation management, security management, or any field of engineering.
• Extensive experience (typically 3-5 years) in aviation security.
• Knowledge of local and international aviation security regulations such as ICAO and GACA.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
• Analytical and problem solving abilities to assess security risks, develop mitigation strategies, and make informed decisions.
• Certification in aviation security management or relevant industry certifications are advantageous.
• Maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion.
• High level of written and spoken English.
