Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a contract opportunity in Tacoma, WA. This role will support high-volume accounts payable operations, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and timely while maintaining strong vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday and a proven track record of managing the full AP cycle.

Responsibilities include:

• Processing high-volume vendor invoices in Workday
• Performing three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
• Reviewing and coding invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts and cost centers
• Preparing and processing weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Reconciling vendor statements and resolving invoice discrepancies
• Researching and responding to vendor and internal department inquiries
• Maintaining accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation
• Assisting with month-end close activities, including AP accruals and account reconciliations
• Monitoring aging reports and ensuring timely payment processing
• Supporting audit requests and maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures
