  • Please note this position is for a full-time outpatient clinic role
  • Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Physiatrist will provide outpatient follow-up care for patients recently discharged from our Level 1 Polytrauma Rehab unit.
  • The candidate will also see patients with rehab issues from other Multi Care providers which include our outpatient therapy team.
  • Issues may include stroke, spinal cord injury, brain injury, and amputation among other diagnoses.
  • Ability to perform Botox injections is preferred, but coaching is also available. Ability to pick up additional shifts.
  • No narcotic management.
  • Clinic is well staffed with support/MAs
  • Duties will include some inpatient support including 1:6 light call.
  • Candidate must be collegial and timely with documentation

Position Summary

Multi Care Health System is seeking an experienced BC/BE Adult Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physiatrist to join our well‑established, thriving and comprehensive practice. Responsibilities

  • Provide PM&R Consults for patients with complex rehabilitation needs, or might be candidates for the inpatient rehab program
  • Participate in one week of inpatient rehabilitation call coverage every sixth week at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, WA
  • Follow 8-12 patients per day providing input on spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, multiple trauma, neurogenic bowel/bladder, skin integrity, amputation, and other complex medical rehab cases
  • Collaborate with inpatient Rehabilitation Psychology, inpatient Neuropsychology, inpatient adaptive driving program, dedicated outpatient Rehabilitation Nursing Clinic and community outreach programs for TBI, stroke, and SCI populations

Requirements

  • Board certified/eligible at time of employment
  • Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
  • DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association

Pay and Benefit Expectations

However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.
