Tacoma First Baptist Church (TFBC) is a Southern Baptist church in Tacoma, Washington. Our English Ministry serves a multicultural congregation, including families with both English-speaking and Korean-speaking members. We are committed to faithful biblical preaching, Christ-centered worship, intentional discipleship, and fulfilling the Great Commission.

We are seeking a full-time Assistant Pastor to serve our English Ministry, with a primary focus on
discipleship and pastoral care for young adults and young families
.

Reporting directly to the English Ministry Pastor, the Assistant Pastor will build meaningful relationships with young adults and young families, preach and teach God's Word, provide pastoral care, and assist with ministry planning, administration, and outreach.

The ideal candidate is a spiritually mature, servant-hearted leader who loves the local church, serves well across cultural backgrounds, and is passionate about helping young adults and young families grow in faith and build Christ-centered lives and homes.

• A clear calling to pastoral ministry and a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Spiritual maturity, personal integrity, and a heart for serving others.
• A degree from a Bible college, or current enrollment in or graduation from an accredited seminary.
• The ability to build meaningful relationships and serve effectively in a multicultural and multiethnic church.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Shepherd and disciple young adults and young families through intentional relationships, mentoring, and pastoral care.
• Assist the English Ministry Pastor with ministry planning, coordination, and administration.
• Preach at the Wednesday evening service approximately once per month.
• Preach at an early morning prayer service approximately once per week.
• Preach and teach in other ministry settings as assigned.
• Support the English Ministry Pastor in congregational care, leadership, outreach, and other ministry responsibilities.
• Participate actively in the life of the church and collaborate with other ministry leaders.

Schedule: This position includes Sunday services, Wednesday evening services, and regular early morning ministry responsibilities.

Ministry Language:All preaching and teaching, including Wednesday evening services and early morning prayer services, will be conducted entirely in English. Korean language proficiency is not required.
