WSP is currently initiating a search for a Lead Electrical Engineer (Low Voltage) who may work out of any WSP office including Denver, CO;

Richmond, VA; or Virginia Beach, VA. Be involved in projects with our Federal Property and Buildings Team and help a growing organization meet client objectives.
- Coordinate, review and approve electrical design plans, ensuring data integrity and compliance with codes, ordinances, and regulations.
- Apply high‑level electrical engineering techniques to improve design across concept development, preliminary design, final design, procurement, construction, and operation.
- Plan and incorporate future‑ready techniques that account for safety and functionality of end‑users, systems, and infrastructure.
- Involved from project inception to completion in the design and construction of electrical systems.
- Oversee cross‑functional teams of engineers on multiple concurrent projects, managing budgets, hours, expenses, task completion, technical calculations, construction compliance, and regulatory analysis memos.
- Prepare data and visualizations such as tables, charts, reports, sketches, calculations, cross‑sections, and other illustrations to present complex data.
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations that explain research, findings, concepts, and recommendations.
- Manage client relationships and provide key technical input on pursuit efforts.
- Develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Exercise responsible and ethical decision‑making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, abiding by WSP’s Code of Conduct.
- Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- 10+ years of post‑education experience as an electrical engineer.
- Professional Engineering license.
- Ability to pass a security background check for facility access; U.S. citizenship required.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical design in the DOD industry, including FC 1‑300‑9N, UFC 3‑501‑01, and UFC 3‑550‑01.
- Proficiency with electrical engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and permitting.
- Experience in electrical planning, design, and construction management across renovation, new design, and construction projects.
- Knowledge of engineering and electrical construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record‑keeping requirements.
- Strong technical computation and calculation skills applying electrical engineering principles and regulations.
- Highly proficient with technical writing, office automation, discipline‑specific design software (Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Navisworks, SKM, ETAP, AGI 32, etc.), spreadsheets, and predictive modeling tools.
- Effective at coordinating and directing others to safely and efficiently complete tasks.
- Track record of upholding workplace safety and compliance with health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
- Flexible to diverse schedules, prioritizing responsibilities and adapting to change in a high‑pressure environment.
- Capacity to work schedules beyond the typical work week as needed.
- Occasional travel may be required.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Experience managing small to mega‑size projects.
- Additional certifications such as LEED AP and PMP.

CompensationExpected Salary (all locations): $121,100 – $205,040
Expected Salary (Colorado only): $129,600 – $192,390
