The Project Manager will lead and oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with company goals, timelines, and budget constraints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial automation, manufacturing, or capital projects and possess exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. This role requires direct engagement with customers, cross-functional teams, and vendors to ensure project success.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plan, execute, and manage projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
* Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
* Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Coordinate efforts of cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, purchasing, and production, to meet project objectives.
* Oversee project risk management, contract changes, subcontracted vendors, and financial aspects, including payments and change orders.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Provide technical leadership, sub vendor management, and on-site project management support during engineering, installation, startup, and commissioning as needed.
* Collaborate closely with internal engineering leaders and provide basic levels of project engineering support, particularly with sub vendors, during heavy design phases of projects.
* Lead and mentor project team members, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
* Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on project status.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field required.
* Over 3 years of experience in project management within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial equipment automation strongly preferred.
* Experience with capital projects, plant builds, OEM manufacturing, or large-scale industrial implementations required.
* PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
* Strong leadership, organizational, decision-making and verbal and written communication skills required.
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, or similar) required.
* Advanced skills in MS Office and collaboration tools like Teams. SharePoint, etc.
Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) preferred.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
* Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and motion control components preferred.
* Ability to read mechanical drawings, hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams, and electrical schematics preferred.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
* Familiarity with contract negotiation and vendor management strongly encouraged.
* Successful experience in customer relationship management and project financial oversight preferred.
