Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Technical Support
Overview
Air Systems Engineering is seeking an experienced Service Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for scheduling service labor to fulfill planned and unplanned customer needs. You will serve as the liaison between our technicians, customers, and internal departments while providing exceptional customer service.
This is not a remote position. You must live within reasonable commute distance to our office in Tacoma, WA or plan on relocating prior to hire date.
General Responsibilities- Handling service requests for emergency calls, repairs, and planned maintenance
- Day to day scheduling of service technicians for timely completion of requested work
- Maintain accurate records of labor and materials usage on service orders
- Review weekly technician time for transfer to payroll department
- Provide weekly status of open and backlogged service calls
- Create forecasts which predict labor needs for upcoming weeks/months
- At least five years of experience dispatching service technicians [HVAC industry experience preferred, but not required]
- Ability to handle interruptions and reprioritize tasks
- Embrace optimal use of our software to maximize efficiency
- Strong judgement and ability to make decisions based on company policies and values
- Great attendance record [position may require occasional overtime to meet goals and deadlines]
Starting wage range for this position is $32 to $36 per hour
