This position is based in Tacoma, WA, and offers hands‑on exposure to FANUC robot integration, PLC programming, and the full project lifecycle - from assembly through field commissioning. The role includes 30–50% global travel to support installations, testing, and customer site activities.
What You’ll Do- Program and integrate FANUC and other robots and PLCs for custom automation systems.
- Assemble robotic components, subassemblies, and systems per mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Support end‑to‑end machine builds, from shop floor assembly through customer on‑site field commissioning.
- Interpret and follow technical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly documentation.
- Collaborate with Controls Engineers and Project Managers to test and install fully integrated systems.
- Participate in on‑site installation, system startup, and customer training.
- Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems and automation equipment in the field.
- Contribute to the development of installation plans, documentation, and system sequencing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with Globe standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Two‑year technical degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with FANUC robot programming, troubleshooting, or maintenance strongly desired
- Proficiency with PLC programming and other machine control systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
- Mechanical assembly or automation equipment experience is a strong plus
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a desire to learn in a dynamic, hands‑on environment
- Valid driver’s license, and ability to obtain a U.S. passport and TWIC card
