Physical Therapist – School-Based Float
AB Staffing is looking for an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) Float that is available for the 2025/2026 School Year.
RequirementsCurrent Washington State Physical Therapist (PT) License required. Pediatric or school-based experience preferred; new grads with strong interest in school settings encouraged to apply. Strong communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work independently while managing a diverse and mobile caseload. Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids;
hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.
Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location. Recruitment Specialists can discuss in detail upon application to connect you to the classroom and best suits your experience and skillset. Contract through the 2025/2026 school year – 25 to 40 hours per week. Contract follows the academic district calendar.
Physical Therapist (PT) DutiesEvaluate patients by observing their movements, performing standardized tests, and listening to their concerns to establish an individualized plan of care. Competent care rendered to patients. Use exercises, stretching, equipment, modalities, and hands‑on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with patients and motivate them to reach their goals.
Provide continuity of care by communicating pertinent patient information with the rehab team, physicians, and other disciplines as needed. Document all patient care in accordance with department policies. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; and adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.
$2,400 – $2,600 per week.
