We are currently seeking a Substance Use Disorder Professional to support our clinic in Tacoma, WA. This position, reporting to the Clinic Director, is an excellent opportunity for someone excited to make an immediate and lasting impact in a growing company.

We are looking for a Substance Use Disorder Professional who understands how a good opioid treatment program fits within the broader community and who wants to help to build a compassionate community within our clinic. Are you ready to make a difference one person at a time?
Minimum Requirements- A Substance Use Disorder Professional applicant must have an associate degree in human services or related field, or successful completion of 90 quarter or 60 semester college credits in courses from an approved school.
- Must be registered or certified with Washington DOH.
- Prior training in counseling or addiction treatment.
- History of performing in a professional capacity.
- Willing to follow Cedar Wellness Center personnel policies.
- Able to work the hours and days required by position, including daily 5:30 am start times.
- Be willing to learn and able to deliver evidence-based practices in the treatment of substance use disorders.
- Ability to provide health and TB clearance.
- Must pass background check and urine drug screen.
- Report directly to the Clinical Director.
- Provide treatment in individual and group settings for individuals and families of individuals with substance use disorder.
- Provide treatment according to the Cedar Wellness Center model.
- Answer telephone calls requesting information about addiction or treatment. Assist in scheduling treatment appointments or help with appropriate referral.
- When authorized by the Clinic Director, disseminate substance use disorder information to the community.
- Assist in intake of patients and scheduling of appointments.
- Prepare, maintain, and file charts.
- Assume a rotation on the on-call schedule.
- Adhere to personnel policies and clinical protocols.
- Utilize a compassionate and goal-oriented approach and employ therapeutic techniques that help our patients improve their ability to manage their emotions, enhance their communication skills, and develop more effective coping skills.
