The Clinician I will serve as a member of the Adapted Dialectical Behavior Therapy (A-DBT) team, dedicated to addressing the unique needs of individuals with developmental disabilities and comorbid mental health conditions. Clients receiving services are adults with multiple diagnoses and typically present with significant challenging behaviors.

Individuals served may also be a part of the Community Protection Program with criminal histories. The Clinician I will operate under the direction of Clinicians II/III and/or the Tacoma Clinical Services Manager to implement programs, education, and skills training and coaching as defined by the individual’s support plan.

• Support individuals in the A-DBT program through leading both 1:1 and large group therapy sessions,with a caseload of up to 10 clients.

• Use principles of Positive Behavior Support to help individuals meet their goals and improve their quality of life

• Planand attend social events out in the community for individuals in the program

• Provide training and supportto direct care staff and members of the operations team.

• Work directly with in home staff to provide support to individuals in behavioral crises.

• Work rotational on call to provide crisis management support as needed by phone.

• Write reports and case notes using Therap, Microsoft Excel, and One Drive.

• Communicate and coordinate with outside providers (therapists, etc.)and clients' families.
