Talent Manager, Employee Relations, HR Manager
Join us as an Human Resources Business Partner at New Cold
, a global leader in cold chain logistics focused on the development and operation of large, highly automated cold storage.
Under the guidance of the Regional Human Resources Manager and the Site Manager, you will support day‑to‑day HR activities at the New Cold Tacoma location. This role will support the site with recruitment activities, payroll, employee orientation and onboarding, training and development, and administrative HR compliance expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain relationships with front‑line managers and supervisors as a primary point of contact for day‑to‑day and administrative HR activities.
- Work closely with the HR Regional team and Site Managers on core HR activities including performance management, learning and development, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Interpret and communicate local and employment laws, company policies, and company procedures to employees.
- Process and manage payroll for hourly and salaried workforce via ADP.
- Manage hiring functions: create and manage job postings via Cornerstone ATS, source candidates, conduct interviews, schedule interviews, extend offers and onboard new hires.
- Leverage HR data for decision‑making, make recommendations on data collection and monitoring, and report on key HR metrics.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements and New Cold policies across all HR administrative tasks.
- Assist in the timely implementation of HR processes, policies, projects, and employee events.
- Stay informed of market‑place best practices and advise site leaders accordingly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years progressive experience as an HR Generalist or functional area specialist.
- Previous manufacturing or warehouse experience is preferred.
- HR‑related certification (SHRM or HRCI) preferred.
- Comprehensive knowledge of general HR bodies of knowledge.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in employee and labor relations, diversity, equity & inclusion, compensation practices, performance management, and federal & state employment laws.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy.
- High degree of collaboration, emotional intelligence, and self‑motivation.
- Experience influencing, leading, and managing projects in a heavily matrixed environment.
- Excellent written, verbal, listening, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Networker, convener, and relationship builder with experience collaborating with diverse work teams and stakeholders.
- Multilingual knowledge or ability (preferred).

- Salary Range – $85,000 – $95,000.
