- Serve as a senior IT Specialist providing specialized support of a wide range of technical and professional Information Technology (IT) functions supporting the J6 mission of enterprise desktop and end-user computing devices.
- Provide multi-media support services and end-user hardware support services to multiple DLA organizations within the CONUS Area of Responsibility.
- Coordinate incident reporting and resolution with subject-matter experts in other departments, Help Desks, and vendor technical support.
- Configure, deploy, test, and repair hardware for end-users, including CPUs, monitors, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Perform root cause analysis of trouble tickets and make recommendations for resolution at local and Enterprise levels.
- Perform Contracting Officer's Technical Representative duties in support of Service Desk Management, including analyzing, developing, scheduling, and coordinating IT projects and resources.
- Monitor and evaluate contractors' adherence to cost, schedule, and performance.
To qualify for an IT Specialist (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT): one year of specialized experience directly related to the duties of the position. For GS-12 level, one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 or equivalent. Applicants must meet general eligibility requirements and any regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Manage deployment of new hardware to the existing or additional customer base.
- Serve as the principal technical authority for direction and decisions to ensure project success.
- Develop operational test and evaluation plans.
- Researches and evaluates hardware and peripheral devices for End User Computing (EUC) environments.
- Participate in testing and deployment planning for software upgrades.
- Research vendor information regarding operation, repair, and possible upgrade or replacement equipment.
