This position requires a second shift schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Act as an expert in standard operations plans and processes
  • Support Sr DC Manager in process deep dives and root cause analysis to deliver on balanced Key Performance Indicators related to:
    Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, Cost
  • Streamline Outbound operations utilizing process flow mapping, KPIs, risk assessments, and other continuous improvement functions to develop corrective action plans to resolve barriers.
  • Provide clear communication to drive participation in improvement processes and change management
  • Ensure Outbound team Members’ abilities to accurately perform essential functions
  • Provide coaching, training, and cross functional development while fostering a high degree of morale, diversity and inclusion
  • Provide appropriate level of hands on instruction and strategic direction to ensure employees have clear path to Inbound operational success, including development of the Leadership Team to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned Team Members
  • Support value realization and optimization initiatives through execution of assigned projects
  • Maintain a personnel structure and staffing level to accomplish the warehouse distribution goals
  • Review employee performance and provide feedback and suggestions for improvement and align workforce on best practices and benchmark standard processes
  • Identify measures that can improve various Outbound warehouse processes and departments (Freezer, Dry, Bulk Loading, Picking, etc.) and provide on site support of continuous improvement and feedback mechanisms for leaders in the DC
  • Perform functions, accountabilities and supporting activities while complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations
  • Responsible for managing the Freezer, Dry, and Bulk departments
What We’re Looking For
  • Ability to read, write and understand English, including identifying numbers
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, preferably in a distribution environment
  • Certified to operate warehousing equipment including forklift, reach truck, and electric ride on jack
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Strong attention to detail and good time-management with the ability to multi-task and follow up
  • Work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Reliable transportation with a very flexible schedule solid attendance and a positive, professional attitude, acting as a mentor and setting good examples to team members
  • Strong working knowledge of company WMS and computer proficiency to utilize time and attendance system and Google G Suite office applications
  • Knowledge of bar code technology, voice-directed order selection, and electronic data interchange preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in warehousing, receiving, inventory control or shipping in a distribution environment, 2+ years of direct supervisory experience with a team of more than 10 people
