Our client, a reputable company in the Commercial HVAC industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Manager. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing relationships with customers, overseeing project details, and maintaining a high standard of work quality.
Project Manager Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers through regular contact.
- Prepare and submit weekly timesheets for jobsite visits and project management activities.
- Oversee proposal details, particularly in defining the scope of work not included.
- Contact vendors and subcontractors to verify pricing for projects.
- Review customer contract for accuracy before forwarding to the President for signature.
- Maintain awareness of the escalation of materials and/or labor costs.
- Provide schedules and manpower estimates to Engineering and Production groups.
- Issue subcontracts for any work not performed by the company.
- Prepare and provide monthly progress billings.
- Assure that issues impacting the project or customer are properly documented.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly staff and sales meetings.
- Stay updated on current building construction and energy codes.
- Five or more years of related work experience
- Demonstrated ability to manage details and meet deadlines in a multi-task environment
- Customer service-oriented approach, with a sense of urgency in responding to requests
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to identify and resolve or escalate issues appropriately
- Strong people skills and ability to think out of the box
- High degree of honesty, ethics, and integrity
- Able to operate personal computer, calculator, and other office machines
- Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Able to work sitting or standing and to move freely throughout the facility
- Frequent travel required
- Valid Driver's License
