Job title: CNC Machinist - Direct Hire
Location: Tacoma, WA
Salary: Up to $40.00 Hourly
Shift: Day
Responsibilities- Safely integrate knowledge, experience, collaborative approach, and positive work ethic as a CNC Machinist in both our metal and plastics divisions. Understand and conform to relevant areas of the quality manual, quality procedures, and training. Combining technical skills with attention to detail, making quality personal, and going the extra mile to produce high-precision parts is a consistent part of what you do.
- Understand and execute work orders.
- Inspect materials and equipment before starting work and report nonconformances.
- Use manual mills, lathes, drills, and CNC machines (3, 4, & 5 axis) safely and effectively.
- Select and load appropriate programs, edit G code and M code as needed.
- Perform precision machining per customer specifications and quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.
- Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) for quality assurance.
- Maintain awareness of potential machining issues and report to the Shop Foreman.
- Keep accurate counts of produced items and document for shift handovers.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts, and accurately report time in shop ERP system.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and maintain a positive work environment.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 3+ years of CNC Machinist experience (Required)
- Manual Machining experience (Required)
- Manual Machining experience (Preferred)
- Basic CNC Programming experience (Preferred)
- Aerospace OEM experience (Preferred)
- Contract Manufacturing experience (Preferred)
