Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) Travel Nursing Job in Tacoma, WA

• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Rotation:
  Every other weekend (variable based on need)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2350 – $2520 per week

• Minimum 2 years of recent high-acuity Labor & Delivery RN experience (5 years preferred)
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Washington nursing license preferred)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (AWHONN) certification
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Ability to circulate in the OR and triage OB patients
• Experience with high-risk OB patients, including C-sections, preterm labor, hypertension, and post-partum hemorrhage
• Willingness to float within Labor & Delivery, antepartum, and postpartum units as needed

• Manage labor and delivery of high-risk OB patients, including triage and active labor management
• Perform cervical checks and interpret fetal monitoring strips
• Circulate in the OR for C-sections and other obstetric procedures
• Provide post-partum care and transition support for mothers and newborns
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including CNAs, scrub techs, charge nurses, and physicians
• Utilize advanced medical technology and equipment such as EPIC, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, and fetal surveillance monitors
• Participate in orientation and ongoing nursing education as required
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality care in a fast-paced clinical environment
