Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist for a hospital OR unit with heavy orthopedic case volume and DaVinci XI robotic experience required.

• Minimum 1 year of experience with strong ortho background, or 2 years otherwise
• BLS and WA State Registration required for Surgical Technologists
• DaVinci XI experience required
• Must be able to scrub for ortho, laparoscopic, and robotic cases
• Strong professionalism, teamwork, and flexibility with last-minute assignment changes required
• License required if applicable

• Level IV Trauma Center hospital with 65 beds and 8 operating rooms
• Average census of 25-40 patients per day
• 10-hour day shift schedule )
• Heavy ortho focus concentrated in total joints and robotics, with 4-5 rooms dedicated specifically to total joint procedures (2-7 cases per day)
• Also supports urology, general, bariatric, ophthalmology, podiatry, and GYN cases
• 4 days per week slotted for bariatric cases
• No weekend or holiday rotation required
• No routine on-call requirements unless experienced with vitrectomies, which require a 30-minute response time
• No floating required
• EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing system used
• DaVinci XI robotic system used;
  Hana Table, Zimmer Biomet Rosa, Depuy Velys, and laparoscopic experience preferred
• Facility holds JCAHO Gold Seal of Approval for Advanced Total Hip and Knee Replacement Certification and Bariatric Center of Excellence Accreditation
• Unit supported by charge nurse, resource RN, anesthesia assistants, OR control desk specialists, surgeons, CRNA support, and nurse educator
• Orientation includes NEO and 3 days with a preceptor
• Unit culture described as strong teamwork, welcoming, traveler-friendly, and family-oriented with many travelers extending assignments
• Scrubs provided and free designated parking available
• Physician preference cards are used
• RTO approvals of up to 7 days are accommodated
• First-time travelers will be considered
