American Traveler is hiring a NICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring NRP and BLS certification along with prior NICU experience.

• Acute care NICU setting with 34 beds
• Patient population includes neonates as young as 24 weeks gestation
• No surgical services, cooling, or ECMO performed on this unit
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3-4 depending on acuity
• 12-hour night shift schedule with weekends as needed
• Floating to Post Partum as needed
• Uses EPIC EMR
• Uses Phillips cardiac monitors and Drager 500 ventilators
• Administers drips including insulin and dopamine
• Schedule is built in 6-week blocks and posted two weeks in advance
• Unit has a dedicated charge nurse each shift, with night shift charge traveler opportunities available
• 24/7 respiratory therapy support and NICU PICC team available
• In-house neonatologist coverage 8 hours per day, 7 days a week, with advanced practice providers available 24/7
• Pharmacy coverage 8 hours per day, 7 days a week, with house pharmacy support after hours

• Active WA state or Compact RN license required
• BLS and NRP certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

• Provide direct nursing care to neonatal ICU patients across varying acuity levels
• Facility-specific floor orientation provided
• Holiday coverage required
• Scrub color requirements vary by staff
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full time, part time, or PRN) by any Common Spirit-affiliated facility, including CHI or Dignity, within the past year
• Candidates previously employed PRN through outside staffing firms will be considered
• First-time travelers may be considered
