Veterinary Anesthesiologist

Overview

Summit Veterinary Referral Center in Tacoma, Washington is seeking a Veterinary Anesthesiologist who is excited to build and shape a high-quality anesthesia program within a collaborative specialty hospital. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching and elevating LVTs, supporting LVTs in their pursuit of a VTS in Anesthesia and Analgesia, and aiding in building an anesthesia service.

You’ll join a thriving collegial team that includes a cardiologist performing interventional procedures, surgeons tackling complex surgical cases, and a robust group of three neurologists and four internists who regularly perform advanced procedures.

• Build and shape a high-quality anesthesia program within a collaborative specialty hospital.
• Teach and elevate veterinary technicians, supporting LVTs in their pursuit of a VTS in Anesthesia and Analgesia.
• Aid in building and developing the anesthesia service and related procedures.
• Collaborate with specialists in Oncology, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Radiology, Surgery, Neurology and Nutrition, and contribute to a 24/7 emergency team.

Our facility is equipped with endoscopic equipment, a fluoroscopy suite, MRI, CT, ultrasound, and digital radiography. The team includes specialists across multiple disciplines and a complement of 24/7 emergency doctors who work together to provide the best environment for our clients, patients, and staff.
