Security Guard

This is a part-time role of 24 hours per week.

The Marriott Tacoma Downtown is hiring a Security Agent. As the hotel security agent, you will ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and the hotel property by patrolling the premises, monitoring security cameras, controlling access to restricted areas, responding to disturbances and emergencies, and completing detailed incident reports. Key duties include checking for hazards, enforcing hotel policies, providing a reassuring presence for guests, and collaborating with local law enforcement when necessary.

• Regularly patrol the entire hotel property, including guest rooms, public areas, parking lots, and other facilities to identify and deter criminal activity.
• Use CCTV and other surveillance equipment to monitor the premises for suspicious activity and ensure overall safety.
• Manage access to the hotel and any restricted areas, ensuring only authorized personnel and guests enter.
• Respond to emergencies, such as fires, medical incidents, and disturbances, implementing safety protocols and acting as a first responder if needed.
• Investigate incidents like theft, injury, or damage to property, documenting all findings and submitting detailed reports to management.
• Provide a sense of security and reassurance to hotel guests and staff, and offer assistance when needed, such as escorting individuals.
• Enforce hotel rules and regulations, and ensure safety measures are followed, especially during large events.

• The ability to notice and report suspicious activity and potential hazards.
• Clearly communicate with guests, staff, and authorities using radios and other reporting tools.
• Maintain a professional, courteous, and welcoming demeanor while interacting with guests and staff.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and resolve incidents in a calm and professional manner.
• Prior experience.

$20 per hour
