Journeyman 06 Electrician - Low Voltage Technician Job Description

Join a leading local service provider specializing in Security, CCTV, Access Control, networked solutions, and advanced systems. We serve a diverse clientele, including specialty retail stores, quick-service restaurants, supermarkets, hospitality, and financial institutions. We are seeking Security Service Technicians for immediate openings to help us deliver high-quality installation, maintenance, and support services to our valued customers.

We are looking for a skilled technician with proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of modern low-voltage systems and equipment.

• Low-Voltage Cabling:
  Performing cable rough‑in, termination, testing, and comprehensive documentation for low‑voltage cable systems (e.g., CAT5/6, Coax).
• Infrastructure Build-out:
  Building out Main Distribution Frames (MDF) and Intermediate Distribution Frames (IDF), including installing racks, patch panels, wire managers, and network electronics.
• Equipment Installation & Configuration:
  Installing and performing on-site configuration and setup for a wide range of equipment, including:
  • Security Systems:
    Alarm Systems, Access Control, Fire, and CCTV Equipment.
  • Network Hardware:
    Computer terminals, DVRs, NVRs, and wireless RF units (e.g., Wi‑Fi Access Points).

• Licensing:
  Must possess a Current EL-06 License in good standing.
• Compliance:
  Must have a Valid Driver's License, maintain a good driving record, and be able to successfully Pass Drug and Background checks.

• Experience in a Lead Technician role is preferred, but not strictly necessary.
• Basic PC configuration skills (e.g., setting IP addresses, pinging equipment, circuit testing).

• Salary:
  Dependent on Experience (DOE).
