The victim specialist role is crucial to keeping the FBI running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for providing immediate assistance and support to victims, integrating trauma-informed care into every interaction. Your expertise extends to a wide range of support services, such as performing crisis intervention, undertaking comprehensive case management, and facilitating access to legal assistance. Salary Level

Pay level for this position:

  • GS 11–12: $63,163.00–$

Salary shown is the base salary for the grade levels. Salary is also commensurate with professional experience.

Major Duties
  • Respond to crime scenes to assess, triage, and provide direct, in-person, crisis intervention services.
  • Refer victims for assistance with counseling, employment, housing, immigration, and medical and legal services.
  • Maintain relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure adequate resources.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain emergency and follow-up resources within the community, state, and/or federal arena.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to create presentations and prepare clear, comprehensive, and concise documents and reports.
  • Coordinate forensic interviews and sexual assault examinations.
  • Serve as an advocate for victims of crime by offering emotional support and maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.
  • Treat all individuals with patience, sensitivity, respect, and dignity.
Specialized Experience
