Primary PPA Teacher

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Primary PPA Teacher for a primary school in Merton, SW19. The school is a popular mainstream primary school with a supportive senior leadership team. It is built on a solid foundation and provides training to all staff. The position is open to both NQT’s and experienced teachers, and depending on performance the school may consider extending the contract or offering permanent employment.

Contract / Position Details
  • Location – Merton, SW19
  • Position – PPA Primary Teacher
  • Type of work – PPA class teacher covering EYFS, KS1 and KS2 across the school
  • Start date – September 2026
  • Duration – 2 terms until the end of the academic year (July 2027)
  • Contract type – Temporary contract
  • Full time/part time – Full time
  • Minimum rate of pay – £150 per day
  • Hours – 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday (term time only)
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Minimum one year Key Stage 2 teaching experience in the UK
  • Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year
To Be Eligible for This Role Through Prospero Teaching, You Must:
  • Hold right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child‑related references covering at least the last two years
