We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our school family as a Teaching Assistant supporting children in class.

Your role will be pivotal in providing essential support to small groups or individual children, helping them achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally. The successful candidate will be required to support in class, work with small groups or support individual children and some with special educational needs., You will provide support to either a small group of pupils or 1:1 under the direction of the class teacher, mainly within the classroom.

You will assist in promoting the learning and personal development of pupils enabling them to make best use of the educational opportunities available to them., All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced Criminal Records with Barred List check through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This role involves contact with children. It is an offence to apply for the role if an applicant is barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.

  • A good level of literacy and maths.
  • A passion for working with children and helping them overcome challenges.
  • Experience of supporting young people in an educational setting, ideally pupils with special educational needs would be an advantage.

  • A positive approach with patience and understanding with good communication skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • A dedication to raising attainment and progress of pupils with whom you work.

    We are a one form entry mainstream primary school set in a small village near Aylesbury.
