Certified Surgical Technician Position Overview
Dates: 5/12 - 8/16/25
Shift: Day Shift
Call Requirements: 6 days/month, 1 weekend/month
Patient Ratios: 1:1-2
EMR System: Cerner

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; certification for at least 1 year. Preferred: 3+ years of experience.

Certification: Must hold AHA BLS certification.

Role Description:
As a Certified Surgical Technician, you will be a vital member of the surgical team, responsible for facilitating safe and effective surgical procedures. Your duties will include:

Ensuring a sterile environment and proper functioning of equipment.

Working under the supervision of a surgeon to assist in both invasive and non-invasive procedures.

Assessing patients’ clinical conditions, identifying critical situations, and taking appropriate actions.

Work Environment:

Acuity Level: Adults and Pediatrics, acutely ill, with diverse medical issues.

Surgical Suites: 4 inpatient operating rooms, 5 outpatient operating rooms, and 2 outpatient endoscopy rooms.

Equipment: Familiarity with Arthrex, Steris, Olympus, and other surgical tools is essential.

This position does not require floating between departments and focuses on delivering high-quality surgical care in a supportive environment.
