We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced Inpatient Nurse Manager for placement at a leading healthcare facility in Oklahoma. This leadership role is ideal for a licensed RN with a strong background in clinical operations and supervisory experience in an inpatient care setting.
Position Summary:The Inpatient Nurse Manager is responsible for the overall coordination and leadership of nursing services across designated inpatient units, ensuring clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care. The selected candidate will provide direct supervision to nursing supervisors and play a key role in departmental operations, training, staffing, and performance improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide operational oversight and clinical leadership to inpatient nursing departments, including Emergency, Urgent Care, ICU, Surgical Services, and Medical‑Surgical units.
- Collaborate with senior nursing leadership and medical directors to align nursing services with strategic healthcare objectives.
- Manage staff performance, support professional development, and oversee training and continuing education efforts.
- Maintain compliance with accrediting agencies and ensure adherence to policies related to infection control, safety, and patient rights.
- Facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration to promote patient‑centered care and operational efficiency.
- Oversee department budgets, resource utilization, and scheduling across assigned units.
- Participate in and report on quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain on‑call availability or designate appropriate coverage on a 24/7 basis.
Directly supervises 23 nursing supervisors and indirectly manages a nursing team of 2,575 professionals. Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, performance reviews, and disciplinary action in alignment with organizational policies.
Qualifications:- Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited 4‑year institution (required).
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 35 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.
- Licensure/
Certifications:- Current RN license in the state of Oklahoma or valid multi‑state compact license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) may be required based on department assignment.
- Other department‑specific certifications (e.g., NRP, NIHSS, TNCC, ENPC) required within specific timelines.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and inspire nursing teams in a high‑acuity environment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, quality standards, and accreditation processes.
- Excellent communication and conflict‑resolution skills.
