Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Step-Down Unit (SDU) - Patient Population:
Adult and pediatric patients
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience.
- Pediatric nursing experience required.
- Must be willing to wear a mask at all times while working in the ICU.
- Provide nursing care to critically ill adult and pediatric patients with a wide variety of medical conditions and diseases.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients' conditions and respond promptly to changes in clinical status.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patients in the ICU and SDU according to their acuity levels and unit staffing ratios.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the Cerner electronic medical record.
- Utilize the Pyxis automated medication dispensing system safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, infection prevention procedures, and patient safety standards.
