Faculty Position Announcement National Chung Hsing University Department of Forestry
Position Description: The Department of Forestry at National Chung Hsing University, is seeking for two full-time faculty positions (Assistant Professor, Associate professor, or Professor).
Required Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in a related field from a domestic or international institution and meet the requirements for new faculty appointments at our university. Candidates should be enthusiastic about teaching, have research potential, and be able to support international exchange services and English-taught courses within the department or college.
Date of Employment: Starting from August 1, 2026
Final date to receive applications: January 5, 2026 (Monday)
Academic Qualifications and Preferred Specialization:
- Trained in the field of Forest Biology or Ecological Environment. Applicants who can teach the courses in Environmental Science in Forest, Tree Physiology are preferred,.
- Trained in the field of Biomaterial Chemistry. Applicants who can teach the courses in Pulping Process, Papermaking Science are preferred.
- Trained in the field of Biomaterial Physics. Applicants who can teach the courses in Wood Environmental Science, Wood Structure Environmental Engineering are preferred.

- At least two letters of recommendation (preferably written by the thesis advisor or current supervisor; Please provide reasons if a supervisor’s recommendation letter is not available).

(8-4) Form T3:
Conflict of interest statement for initial hiring, reappointment, and promotion evaluations.
(8-5) Faculty Accreditation Review Certificate of Co-authorship for Representative Works - A copy of the doctoral dissertation.
- Affidavit on the Status of Having Household Registration, Holding a Passport, Identity Card, Permanent Residence Permit, or Residence Permit in Mainland China for the Proposed (or Current) Appointee
- The above materials must be consistent with the originals. Items 3 to 9 should have signatures and dates on the front page.

Review Process: - Candidates who pass the document review and voting process will need to provide a 30- minute oral presentation and Q&A (in-person or online). The presentation should include a personal introduction, summary of representative works (this part should be given in English), proposed courses, and research development plans (short, medium, and long-term).
- Recommendations will be made to the college/university evaluation committee after evaluation by the department meeting and faculty evaluation committee.
- Additional Information:
- Hired faculty may be eligible for flexible salary incentives in addition to base salary (National Chung Hsing University New Faculty Flexible Salary Incentive Measures)
- Faculty members in need of accommodation may apply for university housing.
- Faculty members are obligated to assist with some administrative tasks.
