Minimum Starting Salary: $1,429.64 Bi-weekly. (In accordance with current spending restrictions, an internal promotion will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher.)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for processing reimbursements for travel expenses in the Statewide Travel Management System (STMS).

Review and audit the supporting documentation that is submitted in the system.

Responsible for reviewing the daily, weekly, and quarterly reports and informing supervisor of any outstanding issues.

Ensure appropriate notifications are made to preparers, travelers, approvers, and accountants.

Monitor and ensure that travel internal controls are enforced and in compliance with the Agency's travel policies, procedures, and Department of Financial Services guidelines.

Research and resolve payment inquiries from vendors and employees related to travel.

Effectively communicate results to requestors by email and by telephone.

Identify recurring issues and conduct training as needed.

Responsible for daily assembling supporting documentation with travel voucher schedules and other related voucher schedules in Axiom Pro within 2 working days.

Process reimbursements other than travel invoice requests.

Process unencumbered invoices as assigned.

Uploading all supporting documentation with voucher schedules in Axiom Pro within 2 working days.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Working hours:

(A) Daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm (B) Total hours in workweek 40 {C) Explain any variation in work (split shift, rotation, etc.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR THIS POSITION INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING REQUIRED ENTRY LEVEL KNOWLEDGE,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of:

  • Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR).
  • Statewide Travel Management System (STMS), and P-Card Works.
  • Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other state and/or federal laws.
  • Microsoft Office Products.
  • Creating Excel Worksheets.

Ability to:

  • Determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignmentsn
  • Solve problems and decision making.
  • Work independently.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Experience auditing and processing payments.
Preference will be given to candidates with six months experience.
  • Knowledge of (STMS) Statewide Travel Management System.
