Key Responsibilities- Enforce jobsite safety protocols and OSHA compliance.
- Maintain and execute project construction schedules and daily crew operations.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications to plan and manage procedures.
- Obtain shop drawings and confirm rough openings before starting site work.
- Perform layout using chalk lines, string lines, levels, and tapes for precise execution.
- Review takeoffs and ensure timely ordering of materials.
- Confirm site is prepped, laid out, and stocked with materials and equipment before crew arrival.
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule daily activities of masonry crews.
- Estimate additional materials or workforce needed for change orders or extra work.
- Inspect ongoing work and ensure all specs, quality standards, and safety measures are met.
- Manage site equipment and ensure all tools and machinery are used properly and maintained.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with general contractors, project managers, and clients.
- Represent Sovran in a professional manner and maintain excellent customer relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned or as needed to ensure jobsite success.
- Minimum 10 years of masonry field experience.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or crew leadership experience (or 2 years of relevant college education).
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial masonry techniques and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Skilled in site layout and use of measuring tools (chalk lines, levels, tapes, etc.).
- Effective communicator with strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Organized, proactive, and solution‑oriented in fast‑paced environments.
- Must be physically able to perform supervisory duties in active outdoor construction sites.

Full‑Time:
Monday–Friday
Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project timelines.
Work LocationOn‑site across Sovran Building Systems’ residential and commercial projects in and around Tallahassee, FL.
