Oversee, manage, and document daily construction site activities.
Direct superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and field labor to ensure efficient execution.
Coordinate pre-mobilization activities with the Project Manager and project team.
Develop the project startup schedule with the Project Manager and submit it for executive review.
Review owner contracts, subcontracts, construction drawings, specifications, and addenda.
Establish site procedures and coordinate construction sequencing, equipment, manpower, and material requirements.
Manage site utilization, staging plans, excavation activities, field office setup, and site organization.
Monitor field productivity and control labor and subcontractor costs.
Communicate daily progress, issues, and performance updates to the Project Manager.
Identify problems early and recommend cost-effective solutions.

Scheduling And Coordination

Develop and implement field construction schedules based on contractual requirements and subcontractor input.
Establish and maintain the project baseline schedule.
Update the construction schedule monthly and monitor progress against established milestones.
Prepare and distribute two-week look-ahead schedules to the Project Manager and field staff.
Coordinate subcontractor activities to prevent conflicts, delays, and disruptions.
Conduct schedule reviews and implement corrective actions when work falls behind plan.
Coordinate project turnover, mobilization, and construction meetings.

Safety Management

Ensure subcontractors attend safety pre-construction meetings before starting work.
Verify that subcontractors maintain required safety data sheets, site-specific safety plans, and current insurance certificates.
Conduct daily site reviews to ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, governing regulations, and project-specific safety plans.
Attend project safety meetings and provide weekly safety checklists to the Project Manager.
Schedule and conduct weekly toolbox talks.
Document subcontractor safety violations and report them to project management.
Promote safe work practices and strive for zero workplace accidents.

Quality Management

Establish project quality benchmarks and incorporate required inspections into the construction schedule.
Coordinate first-delivery and benchmark inspections to prevent delays to subsequent work.
Ensure inspections are completed, approved, documented, and communicated to the project team.
Monitor subcontractor workmanship and compliance with construction drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Maintain high standards for construction quality and material deliveries.
Identify deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with subcontractors and project leadership.
