Florida State University (FSU) is seeking a Director for the Center for Global Engagement (CGE) to lead and advance the university's internationalization strategy. The Director provides strategic planning, leadership, and oversight of key areas supporting global learning—including international student and scholar services, global exchange programs, the Global Citizenship Certificate, and intercultural programming for the entire campus community.

This is an exciting opportunity for a visionary leader to shape FSU's global presence, strengthen international partnerships, and foster an inclusive, globally minded campus culture.

• Provide strategic leadership across CGE divisions, including International Student & Scholar Services, Global Exchanges, the Global Citizenship Certificate, Intercultural and Special Programs, Communications, and Administration.
• Develop data‑informed strategies, budgets, and policies that support FSU's internationalization goals.
• Increase visibility of the CGE and its programs through marketing, outreach, and campus engagement.
• Serve as a key resource to departments and administrators regarding international initiatives and immigration compliance.
• Establish and sustain international partnerships aligned with FSU's strategic plan.
• Collaborate with the Assistant Provost for International Initiatives and co‑chair the Visiting Scholar Committee.
• Oversee multiple budgets, auxiliary accounts, and foundation funds to support CGE operations and programming.
• Identify new funding opportunities and manage annual budget requests.
• Represent CGE on university committees such as Vision 2030, International Graduate Recruitment, and the International Advisory Committee.
• Oversee International Education Month and other campus‑wide events celebrating global engagement.

• Master's degree and six years of experience OR Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience.
• Leadership experience in an international center supporting student and scholar services, exchange programs, and intercultural initiatives.
• Proven ability to manage diverse teams, complex budgets, and multiple revenue sources.
• Demonstrated success developing and maintaining international partnerships.
• Experience serving on university‑wide committees related to strategic planning, accreditation, or new initiatives.
• Understanding of federal immigration regulations and state statutes affecting international students and scholars.
• Experience living, studying, or working abroad.
• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities.
• Strong fiscal management and fundraising skills.
• Capacity for strategic thinking and relationship‑building across cultures.

• Ph.D. or Ed.D. in International Education, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
• Proficiency in a second language.
