Educational Psychology and Learning Systems in the Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences and the Florida Center for Reading Research.
- Maintain a rigorous grant writing and research program.
- Teach graduate-level courses in the program.
- Train and supervise master’s and doctoral students.
- participate in university governance commensurate with rank.
- Teach, research, and provide service within either the Learning and Cognition or the Measurement and Statistics Program within EPLS.
- Maintain a joint appointment with the Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR).
- Contribute to teaching with a reduced teaching load and higher expectations for research productivity.
- Engage in university governance in the department, college, and FCRR as appropriate for rank (assistant or associate).
- PhD in Educational Psychology, Measurement, Developmental Psychology, Statistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated evidence of rigorous research productivity, including an independent program of research with peer‑reviewed publications and competitive external grant funding.
- Commitment to graduate teaching and training, including evidence of developing doctoral students.
- Commitment to continued grant‑funded research and scholarly productivity.
- Demonstrated evidence of federally funded research activities.
- A program of research related to intervention and instruction in reading, writing, or both, professional development in reading, writing, or both, developing or evaluating reading or writing assessments, or similar topics.
The candidate will join an interdisciplinary group of colleagues and students R investigates reading and reading‑related skills across the lifespan, drawing from multiple disciplines. EPLS offers multiple doctoral and master's programs, including an APA‑accredited joint doctoral program and NASP‑accredited school psychology Ed.S. program, among others.
The roots of FSU’s Anne Spencer Daves College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences date back to the university’s establishment. The college includes six academic departments, research centers, and several laboratory schools, and serves over 4,000 students with 201 full‑time faculty and 76 full‑time staff.
