We are seeking an experienced Highway Project Engineer to join our Transportation Division in any of our Florida office locations. - Work with a multidisciplinary engineering team.
- Lead the development of transportation project plans for public infrastructure projects.
- Manage and mentor staff while serving as a task lead.
- Assemble a complete design package or assigned portions of a larger project.
- Perform quality control reviews.
- Attend and lead meetings with public and/or private clients.
- Represent MJ at industry and professional society events.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
- PE required.
- 5‑10 years of progressive roadway engineering analysis and design experience.
- Project experience with state DOTs required; municipal experience a plus.
- Multi‑modal and Complete Streets design experience a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer.
- Business development experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Public presentation experience preferred.
- Experience with proposal writing, scope of work development, and budgeting.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to participate effectively as part of a project team, develop and maintain client relations, and meet project demands and schedules.
