We are seeking an experienced Highway Project Engineer to join our Transportation Division in any of our Florida office locations. • Work with a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Lead the development of transportation project plans for public infrastructure projects.
• Manage and mentor staff while serving as a task lead.
• Assemble a complete design package or assigned portions of a larger project.
• Perform quality control reviews.
• Attend and lead meetings with public and/or private clients.
• Represent MJ at industry and professional society events.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
• PE required.
• 5‑10 years of progressive roadway engineering analysis and design experience.
• Project experience with state DOTs required; municipal experience a plus.
• Multi‑modal and Complete Streets design experience a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley Open Roads Designer.
• Business development experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Public presentation experience preferred.
• Experience with proposal writing, scope of work development, and budgeting.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to participate effectively as part of a project team, develop and maintain client relations, and meet project demands and schedules.
