Job Summary

This is a commissioned sales position providing investment consultation to the public on stock, bonds, annuities, mutual funds and other securities. The incumbent adheres to applicable laws, regulations, and rulings governing securities sales.

• Assists clients in meeting their financial goals through personalized counseling and recommendations of appropriate equity and debt investments. Helps determine a proper strategy based on anticipated needs and risk tolerance.
• Applies current information and prior experience to determine the most appropriate investments for each client and ensures proper account documentation.
• Stays abreast of market and securities suitable for clients; reviews research materials and financial news for opportunities and concerns, advising clients and stakeholders as necessary.
• Collaborates with banking officers to bring investment services to banking customers and to encourage clients to invest with the bank. May work directly with retail to support annuity sales efforts.
• Maintains awareness of risk within the functional area, observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and risk limits specific to the role; reports violations to the appropriate authority in a timely manner.
• Performs other related duties as required.

• Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline

• 2+ years of job‑specific experience

• Series 7
• Series 66 (or both Series 63 and 65)
• Variable Annuity License
• State Life, Accident and Sickness License

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Broad knowledge of securities markets and investment vehicles, with the experience to apply toward effective client asset management
• Understanding of securities trading patterns and market trends
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Internet, and related job‑specific databases
• General knowledge of bank products and services

• ChFC and/or CFP certifications
