Division of Water Resources Management
This is a professional position responsible for implementing administrative and technical aspects of the Onsite Sewage Program on a statewide basis. The incumbent will serve as a team member of the Operations program.
Responsibilities:
The incumbent provides statewide program expertise to internal and external stakeholders. Specifically, the position coordinates and assists with program policy, rule making and legislative activities; coordinates private provider inspector registration and monitors compliance; plans and implements priority projects and provides project and contract management assistance.

- At least six years of verifiable related experience. Post-secondary degrees from an accredited college or university may be used as an alternative for the required six years of experience on a year for year basis. A credential evaluation report from an approved agency must be submitted along with all foreign degrees.
- Valid Driver’s License
This position is designated as a Position of Special Trust in accordance with DEP Directive 422, Positions of Special Trust or Responsibility. Successful completion of background screening will be required for this position.
Applicable Job-Specific License or CertificationsPreferred that incumbent possess an active Environmental Health Professional Certification in the area of Onsite Sewage Systems, or be a Registered Sanitarian, or the equivalent, all as required in s.381.0101, Florida Statutes.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university with a degree in a related field of engineering (such as civil or environmental), environmental health, environmental science or physical or biological science.
- Knowledge of onsite sewage treatment systems or wastewater treatment.
- Knowledge of onsite sewage treatment system rules in Florida.
- Field experience with onsite sewage treatment systems.
