senior statewide planning coordinator, assistant secretary for strategic development/office of policy planning
this position will be responsible for statewide planning related to fdot's workforce.

annual salary range:
$69,781.86 - $90,305.93
your specific responsibilities:
provide expertise in community planning, transportation planning, community engagement, resilience, environmental planning, economic development, and rural planning in support of development and implementation of the department's statewide plans and project delivery. Perform complex planning and policy analyses and reports. Analyze, interpret and apply state and federal laws and regulations. Evaluate statewide planning and policy issues that affect transportation planning, community planning, and community engagement.
Assist with the development of statewide plans, including the florida transportation plan (ftp) and with implementation activities, including transportation planning exchange, transportation planning, community planning, community engagement, rural economic development initiatives, and other planning activities.
develop and provide training and technical assistance to staff, districts, consultants, and partners. Provide information and training on community engagement, in coordination with the office of environmental management (oem). Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and conferences. As assigned, serve as the official department liaison for outreach initiatives and as the office of policy planning's (opp) representative on internal or external committees and working groups.
develop guidance for community planning, transportation planning, community engagement, resilience, environmental planning, economic development, and rural planning to support opp's work, and coordinate with oem to develop and maintain procedures for community engagement. Coordinate development and review, both within the office of policy planning (opp) and with other district and central office staff, of other federal, state, and regional planning policies, handbooks, and instructions.
Meet with fdot district coordinators periodically to exchange information, develop initiatives, and improve collaboration. Review and recommend changes to policy, procedures and manuals based on changes in federal and state laws and rules.

- knowledge of community planning, transportation, and community engagement regulations, community/land use planning, resilience, economic development, and environmental planning.
