About the Role:

Join the Florida Department of Transportation’s Office of Information Technology as a Systems Administrator supporting critical infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise IT systems. This long-term contract position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in Microsoft platforms, cloud environments (Azure/AWS/GCP), and systems/network administration.

What You’ll Do:

• Support and expand FDOT’s IT infrastructure (servers, networks, cloud, security).
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure, and Microsoft Server environments.
• Manage cloud-based platforms, Dev Ops pipelines, firewalls, and identity access systems.
• Monitor systems performance, security, and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Lead and support IT projects and automation efforts.
• Possess 5–8 years of experience in systems, network, or infrastructure administration.
• Have 2–3 years of experience with Microsoft Servers (2012–2022), IIS, TCP/IP, DNS, and file sharing.
• Demonstrate strong experience with Microsoft Azure (plus other cloud platforms like AWS/GCP).
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform.
• Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat/Ubuntu) and enterprise IT operations.
• Possess strong documentation, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.
• Hold a Bachelor’s or Technical Degree in an IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
• Be highly analytical and solutions-driven.
• Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be proactive, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced and high-security environments.
• Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Tallahassee, FL area (100% on-site).
• Participate in face-to-face interviews (in-person or via Microsoft Teams at manager’s discretion).
