We are seeking a skilled Database Analyst to support the Office of Information Technology in maintaining and enhancing the Incident Reporting System.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database management, SQL, and data visualization tools, and will be responsible for designing and supporting database systems across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design, model, develop, and support Database Management Systems (DBMS).
- Analyze data requirements, application architectures, and database schemas.
- Optimize and certify database schema designs to meet system requirements.
- Gather, analyze, and normalize business process information to evaluate data credibility and relevance.
- Develop database and warehousing designs across various platforms and computing environments.
- Create flexible and secure data architectures that support business information needs.
- Submit required documentation including weekly status reports, monthly time reports, and technical documentation to support knowledge transfer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in database administration, DBMS design, and support.
- Proficiency in SQL and writing data patches.
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools such as ArcGIS Online and Tableau.
- Strong understanding of DBMS design and development.
- Experience in analyzing data requirements and optimizing database schemas.
- Ability to evaluate and normalize business process data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Experience developing data warehousing solutions across multiple platforms.
- Familiarity with incident reporting systems and government IT environments.
- Ability to perform essential job functions in compliance with ADA and other applicable standards.
- Primarily sedentary work with occasional movement within the office.
- Ability to perform repetitive computer tasks using a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
