About the OrganizationThe Florida House Democratic Campaign Committee (FHDCC) is the political, campaign, and fundraising arm responsible for the operations of the Florida House Democratic Caucus. The House Democratic Leader Designate and their campaign committee oversee the FHDCC operations and its staff.
Position SummaryThe FHDCC seeks a full‑time Finance Director for the remainder of the 2026 election cycle. The Finance Director will implement the caucus finance plan, manage and adapt it as the cycle progresses, oversee all fundraising activities—including targeted incumbent and challenger races statewide—train candidates and staff on fundraising best practices, and serve as the primary point of contact on all fundraising matters.
Responsibilities- Execute the cycle finance plan in concert with the Senior Advisor, Caucus Director, and FHDCC Leadership.
- Direct and schedule donor meetings.
- Conduct fundraising training for members, candidates, and staff.
- Research potential donors, create realistic lending asks, and manage call time.
- Plan, advertise, and execute in‑ and out‑of‑state fundraising events and trips.
- Coordinate with the finance team.
- Report weekly to the Leader Designate, Caucus Director, and Senior Advisor.
- Track expenditures, cash flow, and budget gaps for program campaigns in tandem with the Caucus Director and Finance Assistant.
- Work with candidates and staff to set fundraising goals, train in fundraising skills, track/report on success, and build strong finance operations that support their campaign budget.
- One to two election cycles (2–4 years) of experience in political fundraising and campaigns.
- Willingness to gain experience and deep knowledge of Florida’s campaign finance laws, political landscape, lobby corp, political committees, and association landscape.
- Strong understanding and knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets.
- Proficiency in NGPVAN and Act Blue.
- Ability to create and manage budgets, finance plans, and cash‑flow projections and tracking.
- Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including frequent statewide and out‑of‑state travel for events and meetings.
Salary commensurate with experience, ranging between $75,000 and $90,000. The FHDCC provides health, dental, vision, and life insurance at no cost to the employee. The FHDCC is dedicated to a strong work environment that includes paid time off. Employees are paid on the 5th and the 20th of each month.
Location RequirementMust be located in Tallahassee, Florida.
